Right across the world, countries, communities and families are still counting the cost of the Covid-19 pandemic. At the extreme end of the spectrum many people have been bereaved through the loss of loved ones to the virus while others who caught the disease have not emerged with their general health unscathed. For years to come each of us will be counting the cost of Covid-19.
As a parish we have not been immune to the damage that has been caused by the pandemic. All of our staff have had to endure a significant cut in their working hours with a resultant cut in their wages because of the general decrease in parish income.
The cut in working hours means that we have to decrease the opening hours of the Parish Centre; and so from Monday April 4th, the Parish Centre will no longer open on Mondays. I understand that this will involve a difficulty for many and particularly
for our employees.
The new opening hours for the Parish Centre will be:
The Parish Office will open Tuesday – Friday, 9.30am – 4.00pm
If we have learned anything over these past few years surely we have learned that we can never predict the future. If circumstances improve for us as we go forward we will certainly revisit these difficult decisions. Thank you to all for your
understanding in these matters.
