Pledge Ceremonies

This past weekend, we celebrated a meaningful Pledge Ceremony at three of our Sunday Masses with our Confirmation candidates, following Monday’s impactful session with speakers from Cuan Mhuire, Athy. Their powerful testimonies highlighted the serious issue of addiction — a challenge that can affect all of our families.

While not officially part of the Sacrament of Confirmation, it holds great value. As a parish, we’ve embraced a new approach to the pledge, focusing on a commitment between the child, their parent(s)/guardian(s), and God. This strengthens its importance, emphasising personal responsibility and family support on their faith journey.
