Four special sessions of prayer are being held in Newbridge during Lent to give townspeople an opportunity to pause and reflect.
Churchgoers and people who don’t often attend are all welcome. The 'prayer encounters’ will be led by Fr Eamonn Bourke, chaplain at UCD and a specialist in Applied Spirituality. Fr. Bourke has occasionally presided at religious ceremonies in Newbridge in recent years.
The 45-minute encounters are being held on the four Tuesdays during March at 7pm in St. Conleth’s Church starting March 7th. Newbridge PP Fr. Ruairí O’Domhnaill said he hopes those attending the encounters will find some peace, healing and hope.
