The Parish Accounts for 2022 are now displayed on our website and in the Church porches. The figures speak for themselves. Were it not for the Covid wage subsidies which came from the Government during 2021, the accounts would tell a different story. I also want to acknowledge the outstanding generosity of parishioners during those times which helped us keep things afloat.
I am conscious that we are now well and truly in a time of rising
costs of living for all people and the Parish Finance Committee and I are looking at ways to manage increasingly scarcer resources more
prudently.
Below I have listed a number of ways in which Parishioners can help with our financial strategy without, I hope, adding too much of an extra burden to their scarce resources.
Examine your weekly contribution and see if it is possible to consider an increase. Every little helps.
The Parish exists, survives and thrives because of the generosity of
Parishioners even in the face of rising costs of living. We are indebted to you for your constant support. I would also like to thank on all our behalf the Finance Committee, Donal Mahon our Parish Administrator, our Counters,
Collectors, Lotto Committee, Parish secretaries and all involved in the day to day running of the Parish.
The Parish exists to proclaim the Risen Christ and His Gospel. May he continue to be the reason for all that we do and to guide us in all our actions.
